The premise was simple: to create something that could be built from one sheet of plywood so as not to create waste, and to make it striking and contemporary.
It’s made entirely from plywood boards and a laminate-covered table top. The trestles and central beam slot together and are attached with metal fixings.
This simple-but-sturdy design allows for quick assembling and disassembling, making it easy to transport should you ever move house.
Detailed only with exposed edges so that you can see the plywood layers, this origami-style table is a thoughtful, innovative piece. It was even exhibited at the Salone del Mobile design week in Milan.
