A soft-touch ecru cover completes the upper sleeping surface. The alpaca, silk, lambswool and bamboo blend sits above two layers of rebound polycotton within the pillowtop. These layers build up the cushioning, while dual-density polyester adds padding above the main spring core. Wool helps insulate in winter and manage heat and moisture in summer. It absorbs and releases moisture vapour to help reduce a clammy feel. The mattress combines 1000 full-size pocket springs with 2000 smaller tablet springs in the upper comfort section. The tablet springs respond closer to the sleeper, while the full-size pocket springs provide underlying support. A frame and additional side supports reinforce the main spring unit, with a coordinated ecru border completing the 28cm profile. Ten border vents allow air to move through the mattress, helping heat and moisture escape. Five handles provide a convenient grip when adjusting its position on the bed.
