Carl Hansen & Søn CH23 Dining Chair

The CH23 Dining Chair was one of the first chairs Hans J. Wegner designed for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. This chair was not only unique but also set new standards for modern furniture design with its lightweight design, artistic expression and ergonomic form.The CH23 Chair may appear uncomplicated at first glance however, it incorporates many fine sophisticated details such as elegant cruciform cover caps in the backrest, a unique hand-woven seat and backward arching rear legs that ensure optimal stability.Carl Hansen & Søn relaunched the CH23 in 2017, true to Wegner’s original working drawing, making the early masterpiece part of the collection once again.
