Bretton in West Yorkshire is renowned the world over for its beautiful outdoor sculpture park, which is home to a range of works from the likes of Henry Moore and Anthony Gormley.Taking inspiration from these modern pieces, Matthew Hilton has created this stylish side table, manufactured by hand within De La Espada’s Portuguese studio.Formed from American black walnut that is finished with a Danish oil, the simple rectangular frame creates a simple table top and open storage compartment with a raised backboard to secure any loose items.This simple angled form rests on top of sharp, modern aluminium legs finished in taupe, the gently splayed profile rising to an elegant join along the base of the frame.
