Eichholtz Condo Table Lamp Including Shade Metal | Barker & StonehouseTo highlight such elegant lines, each piece is made from a combination of steel and brass with chrome-plating and a shade finished in a shiny gloss or matt texture.Foreman of the metal workshop at the Bauhaus, silversmith and designer Christian Dell oversaw a number of innovative early designs that emerged from the fledgling institution.Released in 1936, his 6631 Kaiser Idell Luxus table lamp was produced by German lighting manufacturers Gebr. Kaiser & Co and soon became a best-seller. To ensure that this lineage continues, Fritz Hansen have kept the lamps original title - 'Idell' standing for the designers name while 'Kaiser' refers to the original manufacturer.
