Capturing the classical eastern imagery of a mythic dragon-like creature, this beautifully embroidered rug is framed within a simple round shape. To craft the China rug’s intricate pattern, Gandia Blasco’s textile specialists use a complex technique known as Chain Stitching in which the colourful threads are formed into a series of loops that resemble a chain like pattern. Raised above the design to create a three-dimensional effect, the soft sections that run throughout are hand-tufted to provide a fluffy texture.
