Riva 1920 Navarra Desk

At first glance, the most striking feature of the Navarra is its structured, cross leg detail. The work of the skilled joinery undertaken by expert Italian carpenters, elaborate patterns on either side of the desk highlight the contrasting grain of each piece of wood. On closer inspection, open drawers reveal yet more wonderfully crafted dovetail joints seamlessly linking the smooth contours of walnut.Yet for all of its finery, the Navarra is as much a practical piece of furniture as an exquisite design.Three thin drawers, complete with non-slam drawer slides, sit below the desktop with sharp angled front panels mirroring the jagged lines of the legs. A backboard and small shelf, ideal for a flat screen monitor, top the desk providing space for two further drawers and a concealed cable hole designed to rid the desk of any messy wires.
