Intended to convey the impression of a soft, well-used baseball glove, this sophisticated lounger offers ample proportions to relax into whilst also providing ideal posture support.Making the complex look simple, this armchair and foot stool are composed of three main elements: an innovative moulded plywood shell in glossy veneer, cast aluminium frame and soft leather upholstered cushioning. Using modern production techniques, the shell is assembled from five thin sheets of plywood covered in a polished veneer prior to heat and pressure shaping. This is contrasted by the sharp lines of the chromed aluminium base and frame that gently lock together the curved, organic forms to create one harmonious silhouette. To alleviate any friction and provide ease of movement, pioneering rubber shock-mount pads are placed between the frame and shell enabling the back and headrest to flex.
