Teal Armchairs

What colours go with a teal armchair?

Warm neutrals do most of the work: oatmeal, stone and soft greys let the chair stand out, while mustard, rust and burnt orange give a bolder complementary pairing. Natural wood legs and brass accents tend to suit teal better than bright chrome.

How much space does an armchair need?

Measure the chair's overall width and depth, then allow roughly 60cm in front for legroom and getting in and out. Check the doorway, hallway and stair turns against the packed dimensions too — tub and wingback chairs are rarely delivered flat-packed.

Is velvet practical for an armchair?

Modern polyester velvets are more hard-wearing than they look and most are rated for regular use, though the pile can flatten where you sit. Brush it back with a soft cloth. Check the rub-test figure on the listing and the retailer's delivery terms.
