Heal's Mary's Chair Walnut

Designed in London by Matthew Hilton, Mary's chair is exquisitely handcrafted at De La Espada's artisan workshops in Portugal from American black walnut or light oak before being finished in a clear matt lacquer and protective Danish oil.The front legs of this chair have a sharply carved point with lightly tapered effect, while the back pair are carved into an unusual splayed arrow. Mirroring the emblem like form of the backrest, the large seat is backed by elegantly curved joinery that harmoniously joins these varying forms together.
